Dr. David A. Taylor is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineers, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the Royal Institution of Naval Architects and the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.
David is also a Registered Professional Engineer (Mechanical, Marine and Control, Automation & Instrumentation) and an Approved Surveyor and Consultant on the IMarE Small Ships Group Register.
David has extensive experience in marine engineering and shipbuilding, having served as a sea-going marine engineer and an installation manager in a large shipbuilding company. He taught for many years in the UK and Hong Kong, and has written a number of marine texts and handbooks.
